Vstrip® COVID-19 Antigen Rapid Test Validated and Approved in India!

On September 25th, the Indian Council for Medical Research (ICMR) announced that it has validated and approved Vstrip® COVID-19 Antigen Rapid Test as satisfactory and meets the minimum acceptance criteria of sensitivity and specificity of rapid antigen test kits.

Vstrip® is the first Taiwanese-made antigen rapid test to be approved by ICMR, and now stands as 1 of only 5 antigen rapid tests to be approved by ICMR thus far. Just one month prior, Vstrip® received Emergency-Use Authorization from Taiwan FDA; the first antigen rapid test approved for use. The approval from ICMR now marks Vstrip®’s first approval by a foreign regulatory authority.

Co-developed by Antaimmu BioMed, EirGenix, & Panion & BF Biotech (AEP Alliance), Vstrip® is a qualitative immunochromatographic assay that detects the presence of SARS-COV-2 antigens in nasopharyngeal swab samples. Vstrip®’s can provide quick and reliable results in only 10 minutes.
